CSFF Blog Tour-Scarlet by Stephen Lawhead

This months tour features Stephen Lawhead's latest book-Scarlet. This is the second book in the King Raven Trilogy. As the author says on his website-this is a relocation of the legend of Robin Hood.

For a summary of this book(and all of Stephen's other excellent books) go to www.stephenlawhead.com.

Which cover do you like best? I am undecided. Both look good to me.

What was you first exposure to the Robin Hood legend? Leave a comment and let me know. I think a lot of people will say the Disney animated movie.

Take the time to visit the other members of this tour.

Jim,

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Here's my vote on the two covers:

I must say that the noose one is absolutely first rate, and I would never second guess it except that the one with the painting of Will Scarlet is just excellent.

Usually I don't like having people on a cover as it takes away my ability to imagine. But this particular cover is so well done that it sparks my imagination more than hinders it.

My vote? The grass is greener, I guess. I like the painting of Will that I can't have!

Maybe I'd feel opposite if it were the other way around.

Is that one being published in the U.K.? Does anyone know?

I like both covers, too, but probably the hangman's noose because that's the one I have.

My exposure to Robin Hood was as a TV program, long, long ago, in the days of black and white. Loved it! There was something so just about him triumphing over evil men and giving to the poor.

a) I like the portrait style cover better...it's prettier and seems more interesting to me.

b) I'm pretty sure that I came into the world as a fully formed Robin Hood fan. From the womb.

I like both covers, but I think the one with the archer is my favorite.

You're right! I was first exposed to Robin Hood through the Disney animation! :P
